Effectiveness of Intelligence: Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual towards Employee Performance in Business Organizations

By Iskandar SE. Nur Isma Fitriani Syahruddin S. Yuli Agustina

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2023.04.01, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2023

The purpose of this study is basically to explore (know and study) the effectiveness of intelligence which in this case consists of variables of intellectual intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ), and spiritual intelligence (SQ) on employee performance in a retail business organization (case study at eramart store in Timbau sub-district, Tenggarong, Indonesia). The sample in this study was 26 employees of eramart store in Timbau sub-district, Tenggarong, Indonesia. Sampling technique by random sampling. The analysis tool used is a multiple regression equation with a hypothesis test used by the F and t tests.
The calculation result of the F test obtained F count is 45.252, while the table F value is obtained a value of 2.80 this means that (Fcount 45, 252 > Ft 2.80) with a significant value of < 0.05, so it can be said that the variables of intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence together / simultaneously are able to show their influence on employee performance at the eramart store in Timbau sub-district, Tenggarong or it can be explained that the regression model that was built can be used to predict the size of employee performance at the eramart store in Timbau sub-district, Tenggarong, so that the first hypothesis in this study was accepted. The three free variables, namely intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence, simultaneously have a meaningful (real) effect on employee performance in retail business organizations (case study at eramart store in Timbau sub-district, Tenggarong, Indonesia). The three free variables were able to explain changes in employee performance by 84.2% (Adjusted R square = 0.842) while the remaining 15.2% was influenced by other variables that were not included in this study such as career development, compensation, work stress. From the three results of the t test above, the partial correlation value of the spiritual intelligence variable is the largest compared to the intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence variables, which is 0.617 or 61.7%, From this description, it can be concluded that spiritual intelligence is the intelligence we use to access our deepest meanings, values, goals, and highest motivations. Spiritual intelligence is our moral intelligence, which gives us an innate ability to distinguish between right and wrong. Spiritual intelligence is the intelligence we use to create goodness, truth, beauty and compassion in our lives. The spiritual intelligence of Eramart Timbau Tenggarong minimarket employees is likely to be largely influenced by the proximity of mosque facilities near the Eramart Timbau Tenggarong minimarket and most of them live close to the mosque/musholla, so that most employees rarely miss prayer time when working when the time comes.

Towards a Novel Identity Check Using Latest W3C standards & Hybrid Blockchain for Paperless Verification

By Samiur Rahman Khan Md. Al-Amin

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2023.04.02, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2023

With the advent of W3C standards such as DID, VCs, and DPKI beyond 2020, the industry has reached a new level where a technological infrastructure overhaul is possible. By employing blockchain and other Decentralized Ledger Technologies, it is believed that we can eliminate the requirement for paper-based verification. Researchers are aware of the technological components we possess at present and are trying to bring forth their sets of POCs. Additionally, governments ranging from developing to developed countries are taking industrial initiatives that incorporate these technologies. This research also evaluates the latest events and cases to find the need for paperless verification. Previous development conducted in the domains of Information Systems and Public forensics has presented us with various issues at both infrastructural and user levels. It also introduced us to the presence of lots of gaps present that can be improved with a more improvised form of decentralized paperless solution. Researchers have pointed out that the modern day identity check and forensic solutions will face difficulties with blockchain compatibility, since most of those previous components will require built-in integration with a decentralized environment. As the latest researches suggest the key to this integration is now possible with the proper application of the W3C standards. In this paper, we propose an architecture that interlinks the latest decentralized W3C standards with a permissioned blockchain for implementing paperless verification and identity check.

Comparative Advancements and Challenges of Branding Strategy in Business-to-Business Scenarios

By Ivy Baroi Suman De

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2023.04.03, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2023

Businesses have evolved with digitization and automation of manual processes through ERP solutions. These solutions fall under the category of being Business-To-Business (B2B) and help its clients to grow with a centralized solution to manage all business functions. It is easier for B2C companies to expand their reach using targeted branding strategies but takes a different approach for B2B companies to expand and grow as a Brand. It not only impacts how to reach a potential market but also impacts talent attraction and evolution into a trusted partner for potential market segments. Considering the case of an ERP company as large as SAP, various strategies are observed to target and attract potential customers as well as retain the existing clientele. This paper explores the concepts of Branding in a B2B scenario for an ERP company with a focus on SAP. It evaluates brand value, positioning, architecture, and expense comparison over the years and delves into a comparative study between SAP and one of its customers (B2C), Nestle, in terms of expenses and profits acquired. It also explores changes in Brand Strategy through Customer Advocacy, the importance of sales and marketing, and response strategies to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Analysis and Design of Geographic Information Systems Mapping Agricultural and Plantation Locations in Melak District, Kutai Barat Regency

By Emil Riza Putra Lantiur Siregar Ika Fitri Syafei Karim

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2023.04.05, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2023

Geographic information system is a computer-based information system that is used to store, examine, integrate, manipulate, and display data related to the earth's surface. Melak is a non-governmental organization that was born out of concern about the increasing destruction of natural resources, and the increasingly marginalized local or indigenous people in managing natural resources and the increasingly rapid expansion of large-scale oil palm plantations which in fact threatens not only the existence of forests, but also threatens the existence of the forest. humans and other living things. Melak plays an important role in mapping the location of oil palm plantations and agriculture as well as knowing the number of oil palm tree trunks managed by organizations and independent smallholders. The purpose of this study is to design a system that can be used for mapping agricultural land and plantations using a database as a storage medium.
