To meet the ever-growing demand of this power hungry world, wasted energy can play a significant role. Wasted energy is the one which is not used in any part of a transferred or transformed process. Footstep energy is such a type that can be utilized properly in potential areas like crowded places. Every time people walk, a system captures this energy as pressure or stress and then converts it into electrical energy. This paper presents the design of a prototype of pressure transduced intelligent power management system for the street lighting system that can be self-enabled automatically from dawn to dusk. A way of avoiding the risk of battery damage is introduced in this design. A priority based power connection scheme is also shown to make an effective power management system for this system. The output results are also in accord with the design scheme that indicate almost linear relationships between stress in piezo transducers and voltage or power produced from it.

Intelligent home automation has become more popular over the decade. Integration of automation in a home security, enhances its self-dependability. An intelligent home, integrated with various smart system modules can provide convenient and safe environment for the inhabitants and home appliances which can be easily controlled and monitored even from a remote distance. In this paper an intelligent home automation and environmental solution is proposed along with the architecture of integrated sensor modules. This proposed system is embedded with electronic lock driven with password verification and biometric finger print scanner. This sensing tools ensure the system to prevent unauthorized access. It is comprised with video recording of unauthorized person or intruder moving around the home or office premises. Moreover, PIR motion sensor, IR sensors would also work as safeguard by helping to capture image and Skype video calling from the inside of home or office. User will also be able to monitor the present condition of the home or office by using Facebook post of image and message status. The implemented system as a prototype for the justification and attestation of the proposals has been tested successfully. The observed data ensures that the system is working efficiently.

Android, an operating system developed by Google for smartphones, tablets and such type of touchscreen phones. Android app is a software running on Android platform. Typically an app is designed for specific purpose on Android platform such as smartphones and tablets. In this work a designing and implementing process of an Android based spy robot is described. An Android based application, RC Bluetooth controller is used to control in this spy robot. This robot can be controlled with the help an app of Android phones. Arduino based microcontroller is used for instruction processing and giving proper instructions. Bluetooth technology is used to interface between Arduino and Android. A hand for collecting and holding objects and a camera for live video steaming is used to observe any object & movement of robot. This robot can move to any place and perform smartly within Bluetooth network range.

This paper deals with the designing and implementation of microcontroller based security system to alert when unauthorized persons try to enter in a home. The first phase of security was implemented using a GSM module to send alert message (SMS). To make the system robust additional layers of security has been incorporated by including security devices such as android based door password, manual keyboard to open the door, PIR motion to detect unauthorized person in the home, rotating ultrasonic sensor by servo motor to active the camera to capture image and RF transceiver to produce voice signal to alert people outside the home. The system's main hardware was designed by Arduino based microcontroller ATmega328. Arduino ISP was used for system designing and Arduino serial monitor is used to test the GSM module. The implemented system was seen to perform well.
