As the wireless nodes are having limited battery life, energy efficiency is the most important design consideration in mobile ad hoc networks. Many multipath routing schemes are possibly exploiting multiple disjoint routes between any pair of source and destination in order to provide aggregated bandwidth, fault-tolerance and load-balancing properties. Hence we propose an optimized energy efficient routing scheme by slightly modifying MMRE-AOMDV route update rules in order to generate more energy efficient routes than MMRE-AOMDV routing protocol, called an Optimized Minimal Maximal nodal Residual Energy AOMDV (OMMRE-AOMDV) protocol. It reduces the energy consumption, average end to end delay, routing overhead and normalized routing overhead. It also improves packet delivery ratio and throughput. Simulation results show that the OMMRE-AOMDV routing protocol has performed better than AOMDV and MMRE-AOMDV routing protocols.

Bandwidth Scarcity is a major drawback in multi-hop ad hoc networks. When a single-interface single-channel (SISC) approach is used for both incoming and outgoing traffic the bandwidth contention between nodes along the path has occurred as well as throughput is degraded. This drawback is overwhelmed by using MIMC approach as well as some of the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements has been enhanced. In this paper we applied multi-interface muti-channel approach to AODV routing protocol, called AODV-MIMC routing protocol and its performance is compared with AODV routing protocol. The simulation results show the Network Life Time, Throughput, and Packet Delivery Ratio of AODV-MIMC routing protocol has been tremendously improved than the AODV routing protocol.

A MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork) is an interconnection of mobile devices by wireless links forming a dynamic topology without much physical network infrastructure such as routers, servers, access points/cables or centralized administration. Routing is a mechanism of exchanging data between the source node and the destination node. Several protocols are used to perform routing the information from the source node to the destination node. The main aim of this paper is to explore the working principles of each unipath routing protocol. The unipath routing protocols are divided into Table-Driven (Proactive), On-demand (Reactive), Hybrid routing protocols.

A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a wireless communication network with minimum physical infrastructure with diverse communication applications. Mobility and Multihopping are the main characteristics of MANET. Multipath routing protocols establish multiple routes between nodes. The construction of multiple routes should be done with minimum overhead and bandwidth consumption. The purpose of this article is to analyze the characteristics and functionality of various multipath routing protocols and to do the performance comparison between these multipath routing protocols to choose the best among them to use in large networks.

A MANET is an interconnection of mobile devices by wireless links forming a dynamic topology without much physical network infrastructure such as routers, servers, access points/cables or centralized administration. The multipath routing protocols establish efficient communication within the network by discovering multiple routes between a pair of source and destination in order to have load balancing to satisfy Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. In this paper, the performance comparison and evaluation of the widely used multipath routing protocols such as AOMDV, OLSR and ZRP are carried out in terms of five scenario patterns such as RWM, RPGM, MGM, GMM, and PM in two different traffic patterns such as CBR and TCP using NS2 and Bonn Motion. These multipath routing protocols have been selected for simulation due to their edges over other protocols in various aspects.

A MANET is a collection of mobile nodes by wireless links forming a dynamic topology without any network infrastructure such as routers, servers, access points/cables or centralized administration. The communication within the network is facilitated through a protocol which discovers routes between nodes. The two major classifications of routing protocols are unipath and multipath. In this paper, the performance comparison of widely used on-demand unipath and multipath routing protocols such as AODV and AOMDV is carried out in terms of variation in pause time and network load under RWM in CBR Traffic. These protocols have been selected for simulation due to their edges over other protocols in various aspects.
