Several cancer classifiers combined with PLSDR for base on gene expression profile

By JianGeng Li Hui Li

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.01, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

It is known that Logistic Regression coupled with Partial Least Squares dimension reduction (PLSDR-LD) is capable of extracting a great deal of useful information for classification from gene expression profile and getting a rather high classification accuracy rate. In this study, we replace the logistic function of Logistic Regression with several functions which are similar to logistic function in appearance, and apply these functions to the analysis of microarray data sets from two cancer gene expression studies. We compare these newly introduced models with PLSDR-LD proposed in the literature. The most effective models with good prediction precision are lastly provided through analyzing the results of two experiments.

Numerical Implementation of Nonlinear Implicit Iterative Method for Solving Ill-posed Problems

By Jianjun Liu Zhe Wang Guoqiang He Chuangang Kang

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.02, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

Many nonlinear regularization methods may converge to local minima in numerical implementation for the complexity of nonlinear operator. Under some not very strict assumptions, we implement our proposed nonlinear implicit iterative method and have a global convergence results. Using the convexity property of the modified Tikhonov functional, it combines nonlinear implicit iterative method with a gradient method for solving ill-posed problems. Finally we present two numerical results for integral equation and parameter identification.

Structural Conditions on Observability of Nonlinear Systems

By Qiang. Ma

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.03, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

In this paper parameter space and Lebesgue measurement are introduced into analysis of nonlinear systems. Structural observability rank condition is defined and together with the distinguishabililty the structural observability criterions of nonlinear systems are obtained. It proves that when the parameters are not identifiable the solutions with the same time but different parameters are also indistinguishable. Differential geometry and algebraic methods are used to investigate the observability problem, and it is proved that there are some relations between these two methods. Finally, examples are used to illustrate applications of the structural observability criterions.

Research on the time synchronization technology based on the GEO Positioning System

By Jing wenfang Lu xiaochun Wang Jin Wang Danni

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.04, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

The method of common-view is characterized by higher precision, good convenience in use, and cheap instrument. A new time synchronous method for multiple users system by common-view technology is presented based on the GEO Positioning System (GEOPS). And the GEOPS common-view theory is studied for which is different from the other GNSS system.
This paper introduces the working process and the time service pattern of the GEOPS. In the GEOPS, the pseudo-range found by the receiver through testing is actually the measurement of the whole link from the main control station and through the satellite to the receiver. Due to the different distances between the main control station and each satellite, this measurement has to be done using the upload delay correction by the main control station. The upload delay adopts a polynomial model and the polynomial parameters are demodulated from the navigation message to calculate the delay correction value during the adjustment. In accordance with these characteristics of GEOPS, we propose the GEOPS common-view theory. The format parameters of GEOPS common-view and data calculating method are presented. The time synchronization system, the error analysis and the applied plan of GEOPS common-view technology are introduced.

Research on Virtual Vehicle Driven with Vision

By Youquan Liu Yu Cui Enhua Wu

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.05, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

This paper presents a traffic-oriented modeling and simulation framework. With this tool, users can create a traffic scene quickly and easily, and then drive the vehicle in the created scene with physics simulated. Especially, the vehicle could be driven with vision technology, which is equipped with a webcam and a paper printed with controlling markers. And the paper is used as the virtual wheel to control the motion of the vehicle. At such low cost, many people can enjoy the driving fun; it also provides an easy and interesting way for driving video games with promising business values.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Energy Transportation Corridor in China

By Guang-jun Jiang

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.06, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

In order to offer reference for the energy transportation channels in future, we evaluated the existing system with the information entropy theory. By calculating the base value for the scale of construction and the equilibrium degree with the data of annual investment in the fixed assets from 1986 to 2010, we measured the scale and its rationality, and analyzed the relation between transportation channels and the information entropy combined with the maximum entropy methods. Empirical results show that the partial information entropy Si still have certain rising space. We can improve the rationality of the energy transportation channels by improving the partial information entropy Si. And we should not let the rail transportation channels have excessive investment growth, and then secondly transfer some of the highway investment to the transportation channels of waterway or pipeline while finally advance the construction step of the pipeline transportation channels. This conclusion provides a quantitative basis for measuring the rationality of the construction scale of the energy transportation channels. The quantitative evaluation of the construction scale of energy transportation channels is a important supplement to the traditional research and provide evidence for further development. And we can obtain more suggestions on the development strategy emphasis in future.

Non-polynomial Spline Difference Schemes for Solving Second-order Hyperbolic Equations

By Li-Bin Liu Yong Zhang Huai-Huo Cao

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.07, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

In this paper, a class of improved methods based on non-polynomial cubic splines in space and finite difference in time direction are constructed for the second-order hyperbolic equations with initial boundary value problems. Truncation error and stability analysis of the methods have been carried out. It is shown that by suitably choosing the parameters, many known methods can be derived from ours. We also obtain a new high accuracy scheme of , which is conditionally stable for .Finally, a numerical experiment is tested and results are compared with other published numerical solutions.

By Xingang Ju Liang Yang

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2011.04.08, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2011

Design and Implementation of network on chip interconnection architecture for eight compute-intensive processors are mainly presented in this paper. Firstly, it introduces the basic concept and architecture of the NoC, through analysis and comparison of three common NoC topologies, 2×4 2D Turos is chosen as the final topology, and the single routing node architecture is designed, including packet format, routing and arbitration. Secondly, routing nodes coding, routing algorithm and node degree routing direction are designed. Thirdly, the programming and simulation of 2×4 NoC interconnection architecture are designed, and it achieves uninterrupted operation. The result shows the correctness of the interconnection architecture design. Finally, it chooses XC4VSX55-12ff1148 of vertext 4 to synthesize, the maximum frequency can up to 268 MHz, which provides foundation of subsequent research and application.
