Biography
Solomiia Fedushko is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head for Scientific Work at the Social Communication and Information Activities Department, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
She has 11 years of successful teaching and administrative experience in the University. In 2015 she received a PhD degree in Structural, Applied and Mathematical Linguistics (Technical Sciences).
Solomiia was a lecturer of “Ukraine-Norway" project – retraining and social adaptation of military personnel and their family members in Ukraine. She has served as Deputy Dean for Bachelor Studies of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences for 2 years (2014- 2017).
Dr Fedushko is currently a reviewer and member of numerous editorial boards of prestigious foreign journals. Solomiia has additionally participated as a speaker and moderator at various international conferences and seminars, as well as sitting on organizing and scientific committees. She is the administrator for all Lviv Polytechnic National University official pages and groups on social networks, wiki-projects, and Wikipedia. Also, she is the owner of five websites and communities. Solomiia is Head of the Research Cluster “IntelliGO”, student society SKIDActive and Editor-in-chief of SKIDDigest.
The scientist has published more than 200 scientific papers and 5 textbooks.
Her research interests are in social communication, structural, applied and mathematical linguistics, computer science, web mining, web data verification, and processing medical data. Also, Solomiia has received six honors and awards as the Best Young Scientist of Lviv, Lviv Region and Lviv Polytechnic National University.
