As per the guidelines issued by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) Outcome Based Education is implemented in engineering colleges of India. The outcome based evaluation model measures the performance of UG and PG programs. The performance is based on calculating attainments of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Program Outcomes (PO).In this paper we will discuss the process for the attainments of POs and PEOs for Post Graduate program approved by AICTE, India. The attainments are calculated by applying direct and indirect tools. The attainments summaries are generated Batch wise and a comparison of different Batches were made. The attained PEOs and POs would help in accomplishing Vision and Mission of the department.

A Temporal Reasoning System for Diagnosis and Therapy Planning

By Akash Rajak

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2015.12.03, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2015

The research is based on the designing of Clinical Temporal Mediator for medical domain. The Clinical Temporal Mediator incorporates the concept of artificial intelligence for performing temporal reasoning tasks. The designing of reasoning system involves the implementation of various mathematical models of insulin-glucose metabolism. The reasoning system consists of three subsystems: Nuti-Diet subsystem, Insulin-Glucose subsystem and Therapy Planner and Diagnosis subsystem. The paper discusses about the designing of TPD subsystems. The temporal mediator perform diagnosis on patient's time oriented database and also suggest therapy planning for diabetes mellitus patient.

Achieving Open-loop Insulin Delivery using ITM Designed for T1DM Patients

By Akash Rajak Kanak Saxena

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijcnis.2012.01.07, Pub. Date: 8 Feb. 2012

To simulate the glucose-insulin concentration of type 1 diabetic patient an Intelligent Temporal Mediator (ITM) has been designed. The ITM integrates the tasks of temporal reasoning and temporal maintenance. The paper discusses the design of ITM reasoning system which was based on open-loop insulin delivery technique. The result shows that ITM successfully models the blood glucose profile of the diabetic patient. The designed ITM is also compared with existing open-loop simulator for checking its performance.
