Architecture Model of Integrated Web-based E-trading Business Process Management System

By Oleg Pursky Dmytro Mazoha

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.01, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

This paper describes development of architecture for integrated informational Web-based e-trading business process management system. An approach is justified for formation of embedded informational system architecture based on typical IT solutions. A Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concept is offered for architectural implementation of the Web-based system. Typical informational systems that belong to the Web-system are used as services. The web-services implement SOAP protocol based on WSDL (Web Services Description Language) and UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) specifications. Application of ESB and SOA provides scalability of Web-based e-trading management system, possibility for their enhancement and upgrading. The principle of basic architecture of Internet has been implemented in the architecture of integrated trading informational system taking into account transition to informational level.

Decision Support System to Determine Promotional Methods and Targets with K-Means Clustering

By Yazid Ema Utami

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.02, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

Promotion becomes one of the important aspects of institutions of college. The number of competitors demanding the marketing must be fast and accurate in formulating strategies and decision making. Data warehouse and data mining become one of the means to build a decision support system that can provide knowledge and wisdom quickly to be taken into consideration in promotion strategy planning. Development of this system then does the process of testing with the number of data 6171 rows of student enrollment taken directly from a transactional database. The data is done ETL process and clustering with the k-means clustering algorithm, then the data in each cluster is done grouping and summarization to get weighting. After that just done ranking to produce wisdom, one of them determine the list of schools that will be the target roadshow. The analysis also produces several patterns of student enrollment, namely the registrant pattern from the wave of registration and favorite or non-favorite school categories. In addition, the results of system design in this study can be developed easily if requires added external data. Such as data of SMK/SMK school graduates in the area or data of students enrolling in other universities. This is one of the superiority of semantic-based data warehouses.

Automated Agricultural Field Analysis and Monitoring System Using IOT

By Kajol R Akshay Kashyap K Keerthan Kumar T G

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.03, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

Smarter world is the resultant of the smarter technology. Agriculture was implemented in the nine of sedentary human civilization and it is the backbone of our Indian Economy. But the same traditional techniques like manual field monitoring, water feeding, pest detection, soil testing, etc., we are using for monitoring the field and frequently applying pesticides with or without having the knowledge of quantity to be used to control pests that affect the crops. So it is very important to enhance the agricultural production by making use of technology to overcome the damages being done. Our aim is to provide smart monitoring system using the current technologies like IoT, cloud computing and image processing. To address the above problems the authors of this paper are coming up with a model named “AAFAMS”( Automated Agricultural Field Analysis and Monitoring System Using IOT) which is used not only for monitoring the field but also to suggest the farmers about the moisture content in soil, detecting pest and the type of crop suited for the soil. In AAFAMS, a line follower robot is developed by using a hardware kit called Raspberry pi, which monitors the soil moisture level at every 100m distance using a soil moisture sensor and the information obtained from the sensor will be sent to cloud for storage. A camera will be connected to the AAFAMS which will detect the pests. After complete survey of field AAFAMS retrieves all stored data from cloud and SQLite database to provide a detailed report of Moisture content and Pests information and suggests farmer with the required pesticide. AAFAMS runs either on batteries or solar panel by utilizing the solar energy available and thereby helping farmers to monitor their fields effectively.

Development of SCADA System based on Web Technologies

By Dmytro O. Kovaliuk Kateryna M. Huza Oleh O. Kovaliuk

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.04, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

The article covers methodology for construction of technological processes management systems using web technologies. The structure of modern management systems was analyzed, the emphasis was made on the higher management layer – SCADA-systems. The main advantages of distributed Web SCADA were presented in comparison to the desktop systems. Review of modern Web SCADA systems was made, their architecture, key components and interactions were investigated. Limitations in regard to application of existing Web SCADA systems to objects that demand constant optimization of management settings were displayed. Implementation of Web SCADA system using Arduino controller, based on the example of the absorption technological process was proposed. Algorithms for collection, storage, processing and visualization of process data were provided, as well as a mathematical model of absorber to calculate control actions. The interaction of SCADA with low-level controller was presented. Software components for SCADA were developed, based on open-source web-technologies such as: user interface (html + js), backend (php), database (mysql). Advantages of both the developed software and SCADA-systems in general were described. Recommendations and possible ways of implementation for Web-SCADA were provided.

Analysis and Prediction of Individual Stock Prices of Financial Sector Companies in NIFTY50

By Vikalp Ravi Jain Manisha Gupta Raj Mohan Singh

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.05, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

Prediction of the stock market is currently a big business opportunity for the data analytic solution providers. As the vast range of factors influencing the stock market index are available, it is essential to find the relation between those macroeconomic variables with company share prices and predict the accurate results. Our research is analyzing different relation between the prediction and individual stock prices of financial sector companies in National Stock Exchange 50(NIFTY 50). To make a strong portfolio the selection of different companies is one of the vital decisions we should attempt for a good investment. Trending researches regarding financial forecast are based on the accuracy of the models that how well National Stock Exchange (NSE) index values can be predicted. There is significant literature survey available on the prediction of the stock market as well as its pricing. NIFTY 50 is one of the well-known indexes in India for the investors seeking a good investment. In our research, we attempt, to forecast the stock values of different organizations of Banking and Financial sectors in NIFTY 50. Before including the factors to forecast share market index we are trying to find the relation between different factors and indices of those companies. The study empirically proves that the proposed model is precise to be used in real time stock prediction which can benefit the sellers, investors and stakeholders in their real time savings, investment, and speculation.

Validation Lamina for Maintaining Confidentiality within the Hadoop

By Raghvendra Kumar Dac-Nhuong Le Jyotir Moy Chatterjee

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2018.02.06, Pub. Date: 8 Mar. 2018

In the white paper we strive to cogitate vulnerabilities of one of the most popular big data technology tool Hadoop. The elephant technology is not a bundled one rather by product of the last five decades of technological evolution. The astronomical data today looks like a potential gold mine, but like a gold mine, we only have a little of gold and more of everything else. We can say Big Data is a trending technology but not a fancy one. It is needed for survival for system to exist & persist. Critical Analysis of historic data thus becomes very crucial to play in market with the competitors. Such a state of global organizations where data is going more and more important, illegal attempts are obvious and needed to be checked. Hadoop provides data local processing computation style in which we try to go towards data rather than moving data towards us. Thus, confidentiality of data should be monitored by authorities while sharing it within organization or with third parties so that it does not get leaked out by mistake by naïve employees having access to it. We are proposing a technique of introducing Validation Lamina in Hadoop system that will review electronic signatures from an access control list of concerned authorities while sending & receiving confidential data in organization. If Validation gets failed, concerned authorities would be urgently intimated by the system and the request shall be automatically put on halt till required action is not taken for privacy governance by the authorities.
