Test Cases Reduction and Selection Optimization in Testing Web Services

Software testing in web services environment faces different challenges in comparison with testing in traditional software environments. Regression testing activities are triggered based on software changes or evolutions. In web services, evolution is not a choice for service clients. They have always to use the current updated version of the software. In addition test execution or invocation is expensive in web services and hence providing algorithms to optimize test case generation and execution is vital. In this environment, we proposed several approach for test cases' selection in web services' regression testing. Testing in this new environment should evolve to be included part of the service contract. Service providers should provide data or usage sessions that can help service clients reduce testing expenses through optimizing the selected and executed test cases.

E–Commerce in recent times has exploded many folds due to the invention of new Information and Communication (ICT) technologies and applications. Business models of today are highly depending upon internet based transaction and trading platforms, use of Web portals and mobile applications. Proposition of new business models sans the inclusion of internet and their application has become almost impossible for business. Business data pertaining to E Commerce has become highly valuable in recent times. Social networking websites, sharing of product data and its reviews in blogs paves ways for promoting business in new methods. GDO Artificial Intelligence-Based Switching PID Baseline Feedback Linearization Method: Controlled PUMA Workspace

Congetive method is used in this research to create portfilo of movement robot manipulator. Gradient descent (GD) artificial intelligence based switching feedback linearization controller was used and robot's postures and trajectory were expected in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. Feedback linearization controller (CTC) is an influential nonlinear controller to certain systems which it is based on feedback linearization and computes the required torques using the nonlinear feedback control law in certain systems. Practically a large amount of systems have uncertainties accordingly this method has a challenge. Switching feedback linearization controller is a significant combination nonlinear stable-robust controller under condition of partly uncertain dynamic parameters of system. This technique is used to control of highly nonlinear systems especially in nonlinear time varient nonlinear dynamic system. To increase the stability and robustness with regards to improve the robustness switching methodology is applied to feedback linearization controller. Lyapunov stability is proved in proposed controller based on switching function. To compensate for the dependence on switching parameters baseline methodology is used.The nonlinear model dynamic formulation problem in uncertain system can be solved by using artificial intelligence theorem. Fuzzy logic theory is used to estimate the system dynamic. Forward kinematics implemented the manipulator's movements. Results validated the robot's range of possible postures and trajectories

The Role of Knowledge Management in Enhancing Organizational Performance

Knowledge management is recognized as an important weapon for sustaining competitive advantage and improving performance. The evaluation of knowledge management (KM) performance has become increasingly important since it provides the reference for directing the organizations to enhance their performance and competitiveness. This paper provides an understanding of factors that involved in implementing knowledge management concept to enhance organizational performance. Also, it provides an assessment tool that helps organizations to assess their knowledge management capabilities and identify the possible existing gaps in their knowledge management systems and suggest the possible ways to enhance organizational performance. The results show that all elements of knowledge management capabilities have a positive significant relationship with all measures of the performance at 1% level of significant; it means that there is a great correlation between knowledge management capabilities and organizational performance

The Information Systems Interoperability Maturity Model (ISIMM): Towards Standardizing Technical Interoperability and Assessment within Government

To establish and implement a workable e-Government, all possible and relevant stakeholders' systems need to be inter-connected in such away that the hardware, software and data are interoperable. Thus, interoperability is the key to information exchange and sharing among the heterogeneous systems. In view of this, the paper introduces the Information Systems Interoperability Maturity Model (ISIMM) that defines the levels and degree of interoperability sophistication that an organisation's Information Systems will progress through. ISIMM focuses more on detailed technical aspects of interoperability that allows data to be exchanged and shared within an information system environment. In this way, it provides the practical means of assessing technical interoperability between information system pairs, groups or clusters and it facilitates a model to measure the maturity and compliancy levels of interoperability information systems.

Lessons Towards Developing An Integrated Tool-support for Small Team Meetings

Teams within organisations meet regularly to review their progress and engage in collaborative activities within a team setting. However, the uptake of tools to support their activities within team meetings is limited. Research efforts on understanding the reasons for low rates of tool adoption and learning lessons in developing tools that could be readily adopted by team members within team meetings are largely unexplored. This qualitative study focuses on learning lessons towards developing an integrated tool-support for small team meetings within organisations using focus groups. Discussions were based on a tool-kit framework generated by observing their team meetings in an earlier study. The discussions were recorded and the transcripts were analysed using grounded theory approach to generate stories on team processes and potential tools that could assist team members during each process. The lessons derived from the study were based on three aspects of tool-support namely the potential users of the proposed tool-kit, processes within the team meetings that would be influenced by the introduction of the tool-kit and the technological aspects of the tool-kit.

Reduction of Power Consumption in FPGAs - An Overview

Field Programmable Gate Arrays FPGAs are highly desirable for implementation of digital systems due to their flexibility, programmability and low end product life cycle. In more than 20 years since the introduction of FPGA, research and development has produced dramatic improvements in FPGA speed and area efficiency, narrowing the gap between FPGAs and ASICs and making FPGAs the platform of choice for implementing digital circuits. FPGAs hold significant promise as a fast to market replacement. Unfortunately, the advantages of FPGAs are offset in many cases by their high power consumption and area. The goal is to reduce the power consumption without sacrificing much performance or incurring a large chip area so that the territories of FPGAs applications can expand more effectively. Reducing the power of FPGAs is the key to lowering packaging and cooling costs, improving device reliability, and opening the door to new markets such as mobile electronics. This paper presents the tips to lower down the static and dynamic power dissipation in FPGAs. It gives an overview of various techniques at system, device, and circuit and architecture level used for reduction of power consumption of FPGAs and their outcomes.
