The Quran courses application helps to manage and organize the Quran courses in the two holy mosques by displaying details of the Quran courses department, course times, registering possibilities, teachers’ names and the capacity of every course. Furthermre, it allows the user to enroll on available courses depending on their age and gender by creating an account containing their personal information, such as name, age, gender, phone number and email.
The goal of this application is to display the courses that are in the two holy mosques and facilitate the enrollment process . The application permits communication between teachers and students, and targets those students who want to enroll in specific courses and the teachers who teach those particular courses. This application will be implemented using the same Android Studio programme that is employed in programming the Android applications and MySQL which manage the database. The Quran courses application utilizes usability testing to test the performance of an application and ensure it is usable and useful. This means that the basics function of the application meet the user’s expectations and requirements in an easy and flexible manner without any breakdowns or technical malfunctions. It also means that any problems that users encounter can be identified and resolved. The overall results of the usability testing indicate that users and teachers are happy to use the Quran courses application. . The expected results of this application are that it will save time and effort for all students.

GeoNaija: Enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Geography through Mobile Applications

By ChukwuNonso Nwokoye Ikechukwu Umeh Njideka Mbeledogu

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijeme.2019.06.02, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2019

Recently, researchers have identified several challenges attendant to the teaching and learning of Geography in Nigerian secondary schools. Consequently, in order to address these issues we propose GeoNaija – an educational mobile application platform that aid the teaching and learning of Geography. For the development of the application, we employed the cyclical ever-evolving analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design method. This method was chosen due to the fact that it is popular, easy to apply, allows for rapid prototyping, saves times and provides continual feedback. The newly developed mobile app will make the teaching and learning of Geography concepts easier, captivating and delightful for both the students and the teachers. The significance and value of the research was made clearly evident through a survey that elicited students’ responses on questions relating to the app’s presentation, visual, navigation and accessibility design. 90 secondary students was used for the survey. The study affirmed that developed mobile application will positively change the perspectives of the students and help eliminate the gap between the conventional and other informal forms of education.

Text Analyzer for Competitive Examination

By Ashwini Dalvi Irfan Siddavatam Sagar Ailani Smith Dedhia Shyamal Makwana

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijeme.2019.06.03, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2019

Competitive examination provide a platform to the user for gauging their verbal and literature skills. The tools available currently only provide some simple feature regarding text processing such as spelling correction and providing different synonyms of the selected words. A complete assessment is not done for the user’s abilities and relevant details related to the context are not taken entirely into consideration. The following paper proposes a way to implement Natural Language Processing on text to provide feedback to the user for their competitive examinations. The assessment of the text will be done according to the parameter such as grammar, vocabulary; relevance to the context.
Some applications for web and mobile platform are available to offer assessment of English language essay but limited academic research available to validate research work in this domain. This work is effort to address requirement of text analyzer for English language evaluation methods incorporating natural language processing.

Running Google Colaboratory as a server – transferring dynamic data in and out of colabs

By Samarth V. Halyal

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijeme.2019.06.04, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2019

Mainly all the hype in the field of Machine Learning and Neural Network has led the students of this century learn and research in this field, and the primary issue faced by lot of students and researchers is the availability of proper infrastructure. The complex algorithms need good quality and quantity of CPU’s and GPU’s. Fortunately Google has an aid for such demand, They named it Google Colaboratory. which they provide free of cost. But has lesser flexibility for the user to pass data required for computational purposes. This paper talk about a way in which researchers may feed/retrieve data dynamically without using the manual upload feature of google colaboratory. This will help the researcher or student to concentrate more on their thesis rather than pay attention on data.

News Impact on Stock Trend

By Protim Dey Nadia Nahar B M Mainul Hossain

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijeme.2019.06.05, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2019

Stock market trend can be predicted with the help of machine learning techniques. However, the stock market changes is uncertain. So it is very difficult and challenging to forecast stock price trend. The main goal of this paper is to implement a model for stock value trend prediction using share market news by machine learning techniques. Although this kind of work is implemented for the stock markets of various developed countries, it is not so common to observe such kind of analysis for the stock markets of underdeveloped countries. The model for this work is built on published stock data obtained from DSE (Dhaka Stock Exchange, Bangladesh), a representative stock market of an underdeveloped country. The empirical result reveals the effectiveness of Convolutional Neural Networks with LSTM model.
