Design and Implementation of a General Web-based Course Teaching Management System

A general and comprehensive course teaching management system is developed, so that different teachers in different colleges may use this system to manage their courses and teaching work. The system’s front-stage provides users with login, query and search capabilities, and students can query related learning resources, assignment submission, scores, and attendance. The backstage offers effective management from colleges to curriculum subjects and provides teachers with management of teaching resources, student attendance, assignments, and notice board. Teachers and students can use the message board for communication and question answering. The PHP is used as the core programming language to manipulate the MySQL database, and Html, CSS and JavaScript are used for designing the web pages.

“Data Structure” is the core of computer science courses, which is closely related to “Programming Language”, “Discrete Mathematics”, “Operating System” and “Compiler Principle”. The five courses have a strong relationship between academic edge in the teaching content, teaching model and teaching method. This paper proposes a method of overall optimization based on a series of data structure courses teaching content. The method explains inherent relationships among the courses so as to avoid to be disconnected each other. As a result, general efficiency of the five courses teaching is increased and the students’ ability of the data abstraction and algorithm design is improved.

On the Theoretical Framework of Autonomous Learning

The present research presents an overview of the definitions of two basic concepts in autonomous learning: learner autonomy, teacher autonomy. Based on these definitions, taking the Chinese context into consideration, this research attempts to redefine these concepts respectively. The present research is mainly concerned with the relevant theoretical framework of learner autonomy, namely cognitive learning theories, humanistic psychology, and constructivist theories of learning, and holds that developing learners‟ autonomous learning ability is very necessary to foreign language teaching reform in China. The integrated training of supervisory control system (abbreviated as ITSCS), whose main task focuses on using related domain knowledge flexible, is discussed carefully with the background of teaching practice.
